Enthusiastic children during the vacation program with Jano von Bayern

During the children’s vacation program of the HSV Gärtringen "Jano von Bayern" was the absolute favorite.

Despite the lousy weather, 20 kids participated in the vacation program. The bad weather did not matter to the children. They admired the various dog breeds (Dobermann, German Shepherd, Malinois, Border Collie …) during the different exercises. The exercise leaders explained a lot about the dogs and also the training: Starting with the correct handling of unfamiliar dogs to the explanation of why education is also important for dogs.

The kids were then able to walk Jano with the leash around the obstacle course. Full of patience, Jano went around the obstacle course many times that afternoon.

During a staged robbery of an old lady, Jano had the duty of stopping the robber. He took care of this problem by knocking the offender (in disguise) over. Of course, the struggle on the ground was won by Jano and the kids were totally excited.

There was also some loving and petting to be done. Karl Rehfuss and his dog Jano von Bayern stood next to the kids for almost the entire afternoon. Jano was squeezed, petted, kissed, led by the leash, etc. … Everybody was in awe.
